I offer diagnostic assessment of psychological disorders to provide clarity and guide treatment selection. I am specialized in the area of eating disorders and offer consultations to families and individuals to determine which level of care is appropriate when pursuing treatment.
I offer individual, couples, and family therapy with an approach that has at it's foundation the principles of humanistic psychotherapy and incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance of Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
I deliver a brief 5 session evidence-based form of trauma therapy that involves writing to process trauma. This therapy is small but mighty; it is fewer sessions than other evidence-based therapies for trauma with comparable effects. Relying on different medium than traditional talk therapy can be helpful if someone is not fully comfortable speaking about their experience.
